Francesca Burne
Attorney
Francesca Burne joined the firm in 2026 as a member of AWKO’s consumer class action practice. Ms. Burne is a nationally recognized class action attorney with experience in data privacy and security, consumer protection, environmental disasters, and defective product litigation.
A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Ms. Burne earned her J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law. During law school, she received top honors in national advocacy competitions, including the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition, where she earned the award for best legal brief, and the Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Competition, where she was a regional finalist.
Ms. Burne clerked for two years for the Honorable James M. Munley, United States District Judge in the Middle District of Pennsylvania before joining a large plaintiffs’ law firm where she spent years devoting her practice to complex litigation. Ms. Burne has experience handling and litigating all aspects of the prosecution of class actions.
Her current docket spans a broad array of high-impact litigation, including data privacy, environmental disasters, train derailments, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.
