Sonum Dixit joined AWKO Law LLP's San Francisco office, where she works within the firm's Data Breach & Privacy Subdivision as part of AWKO Law LLP's Consumer Litigation Division. Before joining the firm, Sonum was a litigation associate, where she co-managed her previous firm's portfolio of data privacy cases, evaluated large-scale consumer data breaches for litigation viability, and worked on shareholder derivative matters arising from corporate data security failures.

Before entering private practice, Sonum served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Jane B. Yohalem of the New Mexico Court of Appeals, and as an Attorney Advisor to the Hon. Evan H. Nordby at the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges in San Francisco, where she drafted case decisions in federal workers' compensation and employment-related immigration matters. Sonum earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she graduated in the top 20% of her class, earned a Certificate in Immigration Law and Policy, and served as Senior Note Editor for the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. She holds a B.A. cum laude in Neuroscience from Amherst College.
