Brother Francis Dolan, also known as Fabian, became a member of the Xaverians in 1939 and passed away in 1975. The order publicly named him as an accused individual on their list on 7/12/2019, following an allegation of abuse in Baltimore in 1945 that was reported in 1995.
Brother Francis Dolan was also included on the Baltimore Archdiocese’s list on 7/23/2019, and he was mentioned in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
The report stated that the 1995 report was from a man who claimed that Brother Francis Dolan (Fabian) and several other Xaverian Brothers at St. Mary’s Industrial School sexually abused him, including rape, when he was between the ages of 13 and 16, starting in 1945. The man also alleged that a Passionist priest had sexually abused him at the same school.
