Brother Xavier Langan, also known as Brother Geoffrey Xavier, was accused in 2003 of sexually abusing a student at Calvert Hall College High School in 1969. In 2004, the school acknowledged this accusation, as well as another accusation made by an older alumnus. On April 24, 2019, Brother Xavier Langan’s name was added to the Baltimore Archdiocese’s list of individuals accused of abuse. The list states that an allegation was received in 2002 and that additional former students of Calvert High came forward with allegations of abuse. Brother Xavier Langan was associated with the school from 1942 to 1952 and from 1960 to 1985. He passed away in 1985.
