We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Legal Assistant - Full Time (Office) and Part Time (Remote)

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

Enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into case management software; Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strong problem solving, leadership, organizational, decision-making, communication, attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Computer skills such as MS Office including strong Excel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Two years’ college
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in clerical position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for sending new clients a contract; add the staffing and key dates; update the background tab according to the intake in the case management software. The Initial Packet includes the contract, HIPAA and questionnaire. Update CMP; attach the packet to the clients file as a document.
  • If a client’s status is Intake, under review or contract pending; responsible for sending correspondence. responsible for changing the statuses, putting the reason for the decline reasons and updating CL.
  • If a client’s status is Active and not filed; responsible for closing their case; send a certified letter as well as a regular copy; change their status to closed and put the reason under notes and update CL.

Plaintiffs Paralegal - Full Time (Office)

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

Enhances attorney effectiveness by tracking cases, troubleshooting CMP data and managing the team.  Develops new methods of problem solving for the case specific tasks ahead.  Has the foresight to see future issues and creates a process to handle/control them.  Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into case management software; Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.  Assists with Litigation management, drafting motions, pleadings and filing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strong problem solving, leadership, organizational, decision-making, communication, attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Computer skills such as MS Office including strong Excel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: 4 year College Degree
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Analyze data and distribute to team member’s deficiencies, deadlines, and workload
  • Ensure Case Management System is accurate and data is being saved properly to ensure client information is the most up to date.
  • Handle all mail merges, create documents, approve all written documents with attorney approval
  • Training all new personal on policy and procedures
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Create grids for processing information with the attorney(ies)

Business Development Specialist - Full Time (Office) or Part Time (Remote)

Accounting Clerk - Full Time (Office)

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable as needed including:
    • Review and enter vendor invoices into accounts payable system
    • Print and scan checks along with backup into Accounting folder before mailing
    • Review various firm credit card statements, allocate charges and enter into accounts payable system
  • Assist with trust accounting reconciliations and payments as needed
  • Assist with Fee invoicing and payments from trust as needed
  • Assist with Expense and Time record keeping and review as needed
  • Assist with Distribution Ledger prep and review as needed
  • Plan, and facilitate special accounting projects as requested by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Previous work experience in a law firm (or professional services firm) with time and billing utilizing billing software integrated with a General Ledger is strongly preferred.
  • Able to produce a high quality work product while handling multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills are required
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, Advanced Excel knowledge, and billing software programs is essential
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Accounting Degree is REQUIRED or equivalent experience necessary
