After being ordained as a deacon in 1988, Thom Kuhl taught religion at Our Lady of Pompeii High School and Towson Catholic High School. However, in 2006, a man came forward and accused Thom Kuhl and another teacher of abusing him for two years while he was a student at Our Lady in the early- to mid-1990s. As a result, both Kuhl and the other teacher were placed on immediate leave.
