In 1994, an individual reported to the archdiocese that Father Anthony Lorento had sexually abused him. The archdiocese notified the Pallotines about the allegations. Father Lorento’s name did not appear in the 2002 Official Catholic Directory, but the 1993 edition showed him working in New York. He was included in the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list, released in 9/2002, of religious priests and brothers who were accused of child sexual abuse.
