In 2005, a report was made alleging that Father James Glenn Murray had inappropriately touched a minor in the 1980s while assigned to St. Frances-Charles Hall, which was later renamed St. Frances Academy. However, the allegations could not be verified. In 2011, after a new investigation, the Jesuits permanently removed him from active ministry.
Father James Glenn Murray had taught at Gonzaga College High School from 1974 to 1976 and had recently been assigned to St. Aloysius Parish. He was last known to be living in a monitored residence within the Jesuit Community. He was included on the Raleigh diocese’s list in October 2018, on the MD Province Jesuits’ list in December 2018, and on Baltimore’s list on July 23, 2019.
