Father Joseph Kenney was publicly identified as an accused individual by the archdiocese on December 14th, 2018. The accusations of abuse were made in 2002 by two people, who alleged that the abuse took place in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Father Kenney passed away in 2001.
In 2018, the archdiocese stated that it became aware that it had knowledge of allegations of abuse in the early 1950s as far back as 1985.
