Father Kenneth Farabaugh was accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl in 1985, who was a student at John Carroll High School, where Father Kenneth Farabaugh was a teacher. The allegations were reported to the Archdiocese by a Catholic Charities counselor in 1993, but the matter was dropped due to the victim denying the allegations and Father Kenneth Farabaugh denying the abuse.

In 2000, the victim provided detailed allegations of the abuse to the Archdiocese. Farabaugh was under investigation by the police and the Archdiocese at the time of his death in a car accident in 2000, minutes before a scheduled polygraph test. He was included on Baltimore’s list of abusers in 2002 and the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report shows that two more women came forward in 2002 with allegations of abuse as children by Farabaugh, one in 1964 and the other in about 1970.

Both women said they told other priests who took no action. In 2010, a man reported being sexually abused by Farabaugh as a second-grader in 1963 and received a settlement of $5K in 2011. Another man reported in 2019 that Farabaugh sexually abused him when he was a student at John Carroll High School.
