Monsignor Father Simon Kenny was publicly identified as an accused individual by the archdiocese on April 24th, 2019. The allegation of sexual abuse was reported in 2017 and reportedly took place in the early 1980s.
Father Simon Kenny served as an Army chaplain from 1941 to 1967 and was later a parish priest. He served as the pastor of St. Mary’s in Pylesville from 1968 to 1985, after which he retired. Father Kenny passed away in 1999.
