Father Terence Evans was publicly named as an accused person in the MD Attorney General’s Report on 4/5/2023. A man reported in 2018 that Father Terence Evans sexually abused him when he was around 14 years old, in the late 1950s when Evans was a pastor at St. Margaret’s. The boy was a member of the CYO softball team and helped Evans up after he fell during a game.
Evans later invited the boy to the rectory to thank him, and during this meeting, Evans forcibly grabbed the boy’s hand and placed it on his own crotch, rubbing the boy’s hand against it. The boy left immediately when Evans released his hand and never returned to the CYO. Evans passed away in 1984.
