A person came forward in 1999 and accused Father Timothy Murphy of sexually abusing them during the late 1960s to early 1970s. The Archdiocese of Baltimore notified the Trinitarians, resulting in the removal of Father Murphy’s faculties. According to the 2002 Catholic Directory, he was stationed at Holy Trinity Monastery in Baltimore from 1991 onwards. Father Murphy’s name was listed on Baltimore’s 9/2002 list of accused priests. He passed away in 2004.
