Father William Wehrle was accused of sexual abuse in Baltimore in the mid-1980s and subsequently removed from his parish, according to archdiocesan files. He served in Baltimore from 1982 to 1985 and also worked in the archdioceses of Washington, DC, and Omaha, NE, as well as the Pittsburgh and Denver dioceses.
Father William Wehrle passed away on August 25, 1995. He was included on Baltimore’s list of accused priests released in September 2002. In December 2018, he was listed on the Jesuits Maryland Province list, which included multiple allegations of abuse in Denver and Washington, DC.
